Todd Allen Smock

Todd Smock, 47, of Salem, Oregon, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. He was born on May 14, 1979, in Salem, Oregon, to Carl Edward Smock and Delores Jane (Flowers) Smock.

Todd graduated from McKay High School in 1997. He went on to build a career as a journeyman painter, a trade he thoroughly enjoyed. Todd was also an avid basketball player and a devoted fan of the Chicago Bulls.

Todd's greatest joys, however, came from the people he loved. Though he was never married, Todd was previously partnered with Carrie Dickens and Alicia Austin, with whom he shared the incredible joy of bringing his daughters into the world. His daughters were a cherished part of his life and a source of tremendous pride.

Todd will be remembered for his caring spirit, his generous heart, and perhaps most of all, his legendary sense of humor. He never missed an opportunity to tell a joke, make someone laugh, or bring a little lightness to the moment. His ability to bring laughter into the lives of others was a true reflection of his loving heart. Todd had a way of making people feel welcomed and cared for, and his laughter and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Jane Smock; his sister, Christina Lynne Denton; and his brothers, Bart Richard Denton and Carl Edward Smock Jr.

He is survived by his father, Carl Smock of Dallas, Oregon; his daughters, Kelci Coakley of Salem, Oregon (son-in-law, Justin Coakley); and Lisa Smock of Salem, Oregon (Partner, Dayken Lawrence); grandchildren of Salem, Oregon, Bentley Coakley, Ryder Coakley, Nova Coakley, Haizley Lawrence, and Emerson Lawrence; sister, Billie-Jo Denton Keuscher; brothers, Jim Smock and Robert Smock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Todd leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and memories that will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he may no longer be here to tell one of his infamous jokes, the laughter he brought into the lives of others will continue to be part of his lasting legacy.
